2020 Black History Month Health Fair
In recognition of Black History Month, Holy Name Medical Center hosted a day of complimentary health screenings and seminars on February 22nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event drew hundreds from the community. Some common conditions that disproportionately affect the African American community include stroke, high blood pressure, certain cancers, and diabetes among other illnesses. Screenings included blood work, blood pressure, BMI, bone density, vein screening, diabetic risk assessment and medication review. Holy Name's physicians and specialists also participated in a lecture series. Live entertainment was provided by The New York City Love & Soul Band featuring Reggie Pittman.
