Korean Medical Program : The Korean Medical Program at Holy Name Medical Center was developed to address the language and cultural needs of the Korean-American population in the greater New York and New Jersey area. It offers Korean-speaking customer representatives who greet patients as well as translate and coordinate with physician offices. It offers Korean menu selections, television channels, newspapers and magazines for inpatients, and a free community shuttle van service. Hispanic Outreach Program : The Hispanic Outreach Program at Holy Name Medical Center was developed to create awareness of Holy Name's commitment to assuring the highest level of healthcare to members of the Hispanic community and, consistent with the Medical Center's ministry of healing, to providing services and programs in a culturally sensitive and caring environment. In collaboration with physicians and allied health professionals, the program offers information and referrals as well as educational programs, seminars, and preventative screenings at the Medical Center’s campus and at off-campus locations for residents of Bergen, Hudson and Passaic counties. The Hispanic Outreach Program is an affirmation of Holy Name MedicalCenter's dedication to addressing the Hispanic community's medical, cultural and spiritual needs and serving as the medical center of choice for members of the Hispanic community. HNMC Foundation Events : The Holy Name Medical Center Foundation was created in 1986. Its mission is to encourage the philanthropic support of Holy Name Medical Center by raising awareness of the Medical Center's capabilities and inviting the community to invest in a rewarding process that supports the values, preserves the interests and meets the expectations of the community by making a positive difference in the health and well being of all those within it. Today, the Foundation-guided by a Board of Directors - continues to build bridges between the Medical Center and the community it serves while seeking ongoing donor support for its state-of-the-art facilities, medical technologies, patient care programs and services. Over the years, the Foundation has helped raise millions of dollars for new state-of-the-art medical facilities including The BirthPlace, The Sister Patricia Lynch Regional Cancer Center, The George Pitkin, MD Emergency Care Center and The George and Amy Newman Cardiac Diagnostic Center. The Holy Name Medical Center Foundation and its staff is committed to increasing the generous support needed to carry out the mission of Holy Name Medical Center and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, the Medical Center's founding sponsor.
